Congressman Steve Womack of Arkansas’s Third District has expressed his support for the release of all documents and records related to the crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein. In a statement released on November 18, 2025, Womack emphasized the need for transparency and accountability from the federal government.
“The federal government owes the American people transparency and accountability. The public has a right to know the identities of any individuals who were directly or indirectly involved in the despicable crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. Had I been in D.C. today, I would have voted in support of H.R. 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, because the pursuit of justice should not be influenced by political ideology, wealth, or power; and perpetrators of crimes as serious as child exploitation must be exposed and held accountable,” Womack said.
Womack was unable to attend the vote on H.R. 4405 due to a family member’s serious medical issue but noted that his intended “YES” vote was entered into the Congressional Record.
Steve Womack has served as U.S. Representative for Arkansas’s Third District since 2011 after succeeding John Boozman. He is currently a member of the House Appropriations Committee and resides in Rogers, Arkansas. Born in Russellville in 1957, Womack graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979.
