UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS - FORT SMITH: Winter Weather Forecast

The National Weather Service has predicted severe winter weather with possible freezing precipitation and wind chills below zero beginning early on Thursday, December 22.

To keep as many people safe and off the roads as possible, Chancellor Riley has stated that all nonessential personnel should plan to work from home on Thursday.

(Please note: The Human Resources Office has already processed December time cards, so you should not make time adjustments in Workday until returning to campus in January.)

University Police will secure campus facilities on Wednesday evening and most facilities will stay locked from until campus reopens January 3.

UPD will be on campus, and SSC will continue to monitor sidewalks and parking lots near university housing and the 24-hour computer lab for safety.

Be safe out there, Lions!
