ARKANSAS TECH UNIVERSITY: Getting to Know the ATU Class of 2026: Arianna Morin

School

Arkansas Tech University issued the following announcement on June 3.

Arianna Morin hasn't stepped foot in an Arkansas Tech University classroom yet, but she already knows what it will mean to her to become an ATU graduate.

"It will mean everything," said Arianna. "I'll be the first person from my family to graduate from college. Having that accomplishment...and having it mean something...I'm so excited for it."

Arianna's first exposure to Arkansas Tech came during the Time Out for Tech high school senior preview day in November 2021. It was her first college visit.

"I just knew this is where I wanted to be," said Arianna. "I was so nervous, but coming (to ATU) and feeling how welcoming everyone is gave me a sense of relief. This is where I can see myself for the next four years."

Arianna will major in English at Arkansas Tech. It will be the continuation of a passion she discovered during her days as a student at Magnet Cove High School.

"I was the bookworm of my school," said Arianna. "I'd be walking down the hallways and I'd always have a book in my hands...whatever I was reading. I just fell in love with it. English and literature are where my heart is."

Arianna said she wants to be active in student organizations and meet new people during her freshman year at ATU. She was initially concerned about the idea of having a roommate she didn't previously know, but the environment at Arkansas Tech has helped quell that anxiety.

"A lot of these people are really nice...I might end up finding my best friend by rooming with them," said Arianna.
