Immaculate Conception Church - Fort Smith issued the following announcement on Feb. 27.

Ash Wednesday is March 2nd. Though it is not a holy day of obligation, it is a day of fast and abstinence. During Lent, we are asked to devote ourselves to seeking the Lord in prayer and reading Scripture, to service by giving alms, and to sacrifice self-control through fasting. Normally, we are marked with ashes, in the form of a cross, on our forehead. (dolr.org) Please see below our schedule for Ash Wednesday, join us!
