Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.
Arvest Foundation Grants $15,000 to Methodist Village Senior Living to help meet Mabee Foundation Challenge Grant
The Arvest Foundation has awarded a $15,000 grant to Methodist Village Senior Living (MVSL) toward their challenge grant goal from the Mabee Foundation. The $15,000 grant will be used for furniture and equipment the new MVSL training center which is currently under construction.
The Arvest Foundation supports local organizations doing outstanding work to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. In 2019, the Arvest Foundation granted MVSL $25,000 to install a security system in the Alzheimer’s Special Care Unit. “We appreciate the ongoing support from the Arvest Foundation and applaud their commitment to organizations in our community that are making a difference,” said Melissa Curry, MVSL CEO.
“As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, this $15,000 grant furthers our mission to provide quality care for elders,” continued Curry. The challenge grant gives MVSL until January 12, 2022 to raise $82,730 in remaining funds required in order to receive the $154,000 funding from the Mabee Foundation.
