Goddard United Methodist Church issued the following announcement on Aug. 16.

On Thursday July 22, 2021 the Board of Trustees of this congregation voted to close in person worship due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases in Arkansas. This closure would take place if our church’s guidelines for peak Covid-19 cases in our community were met.

As of today, Sunday August 15, 2021, we have hit our church’s guidelines for peak Covid-19 cases in our community. These guidelines are determined by information on the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church’s Covid Dashboard and local hospital information.

No cases of Covid-19 have been reported at Goddard. We are closing in person worship as a proactive measure of keeping our community of faith safe.

To monitor the Covid-19 cases in your area, visit arumc.org/Covid19/dashboard and select your county.

Worship at Goddard will continue via live streaming.

Only those leading worship will be present in the sanctuary. Watch our Sunday morning worship live at 10:00 a.m. on YouTube.com/GoddardUMC or Facebook.com/GoddardUMC.
