City of Van Buren issued the following announcement on July 20.
The Van Buren Police Department is taking applications for a part-time Civilian Police Assistant. Applicants must be between 18-21 years old and be enrolled as a full-time college student during employment. Hours are flexible. Duties include but are not limited to moving vehicles to and from repair facilities, filing forms, fingerprinting, and taking minor reports. Applicants must have a clear driving record and must be able to pass a background examination. Applications may be picked up at 800 Fayetteville Road. You can apply online at www.vanburencity.org
