University of Arkansas - Fort Smith issued the following announcement on July 17.
Happy day, Lions! This week’s Friday Feature is Elliot Nemeth, a senior business administration major with concentrations in international management and consumer marketing. His is from Alberta, Canada and is a D-Group Leader, President of Fort Smith Chi Alpha, and the senior photography student for the UAFS Marketing Department.
Elliot has a goal of earning his degree without any student debt and that is why he chose UAFS. “UAFS is making that possible by providing affordable tuition and plenty of scholarship opportunities. They also have an EXCELLENT UAFS College of Business, and I’ve been able to find plenty of opportunities to apply my skills outside of the classroom.
I love taking any chance I get to brag on my University, and there certainly is a lot to brag about when it comes to the amazing pride that we have here at UAFS!”
Elliot is as passionate about his photography as he is his education, “I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was 10, and I’ve been developing (no pun intended) my skills in earnest since I’ve started college!”
At the height of COVID in spring of 2020, Elliot and one of his coworkers got together and created a video for UAFS as an encouragement to our fellow students to press on together as a family. “A lot of people told me afterward that they were incredibly encouraged by it and that’s something I’m really proud of.”
“It’s so important to have a good group of friends that will have your back and push you to be better and make better choices,” Elliot said. “I am so incredibly grateful for my Chi Alpha family, and I attribute much of my growth to having a group of friends that support and mentor each other.”
