Rep. Steve Womack, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 3rd district since 2011, announced the passage of his bill in the House aimed at protecting veterans’ access to telemedicine services.
On September 15, 2025, Womack stated on his social media account: “The House just passed my bill to protect veterans’ access to telemedicine services, putting us one step closer to ensuring that our veterans continue to have access to life-saving medication. On September 16, 2025, Womack also commented on a separate congressional action regarding sports history: “In 1980, the U.S. Men’s Ice Hockey Team stunned the world by defeating the Soviet Union in what became known as the Miracle on Ice. Yesterday, Congress voted to award these legendary athletes the Congressional Gold Medal, a bill I was proud to cosponsor. USA! USA! USA!”
Womack has represented Arkansas’s 3rd District since succeeding John Boozman in 2011. He was born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and currently resides in Rogers. Womack graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979.
