Rep. Steve Womack, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 3rd district since 2011, posted a series of tweets between August 27 and August 28, 2025, addressing issues ranging from violence at a Minneapolis school to local engagements in Arkansas.

On August 27, Womack commented on an incident at a Catholic school in Minnesota: “My prayers are with the victims of today’s horrific and senseless shooting during morning Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. This act of violence against children and their educators in a place of worship is beyond comprehension. Thank you to the courageous law”.

Later that day, he acknowledged local educational leaders and shared his experience visiting Elkins High School: “Thanks to Superintendent Jeremy Mangrum and Principal Angie Kichline for inviting me to Elkins High School where I saw their brand new and very impressive athletic facility. But the real highlight was talking with students taking a U.S. history class where we discussed the three”.

On August 28, Womack highlighted his visit with small business owners in Elkins: “I really enjoyed meeting Sid and Erin, the owners of Six Arrows Farm and Gift, and learning about their experience running a small business and how federal policy affects them. They opened the shop in November 2024 and recently added a coffee bar. If you’re in the Elkins area, be”.

Womack has served as Arkansas’s representative since succeeding John Boozman in 2011. Born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957, Womack resides in Rogers and graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a BA degree in 1979.
