U.S. Congressman Steve Womack, who represents Arkansas’ 3rd district and has served in Congress since 2011, posted a series of updates on September 24, 2025, addressing public safety and educational outreach.

In his first post at 16:25 UTC, Womack responded to a violent incident involving law enforcement personnel. He wrote, “We cannot allow violence toward ICE officers and other law enforcement officials. It’s unacceptable to target the individuals who are working to keep us safe. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this tragic shooting and their families.”

Later that day at 18:42 UTC, Womack highlighted an event focused on civic engagement for students in Fayetteville. He stated, “Today, I took @DOTMARAD Acting Administrator Sang Yi to speak to students attending Fayetteville High School who are interested in public policy, governance, and STEM. Acting Administrator Yi shared his story of leadership in the U.S. Navy, on Capitol Hill, and now leading one of”

At 19:31 UTC on the same day, Womack provided another update regarding a visit to an academic research center. He said, “At @UArkansas’s College of Engineering, @DOTMARAD Acting Administrator Sang Yi and I received a briefing at the Maritime Transportation Research and Education Center (MarTREC) where researchers are informing solutions to some of our most pressing transportation challenges.”

Steve Womack was born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and currently resides in Rogers. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a BA in 1979.
