Rep. Steve Womack, who represents Arkansas’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared his reactions to the State of the Union address and highlighted recent initiatives and guests via social media posts on February 25, 2026.

In a post published early that morning, Womack commented on President Trump’s performance over the past year: “My #SOTU reaction: In the past year, President Trump has achieved measurable progress in securing the border, reducing the flow of lethal drugs into our communities, expanding American energy production, strengthening national security and global leadership, growing our economy” (February 25, 2026).

Later that day, he expressed gratitude to First Lady Melania Trump for her work with foster youth: “Thank you @FLOTUS for your dedication and advocacy for America’s youth. The Melania Trump Foster Youth to Independence Program supports young people aging out of the foster care system and helps set them up to be successful adults, just like Sierra.” (February 25, 2026).

Womack also acknowledged his guest at the State of the Union address: “It was an honor to have Gen. Silveria as my guest to SOTU last night!” (February 25, 2026).

Steve Womack has served in Congress since replacing John Boozman in 2011. He was born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957 and currently resides in Rogers. Womack is an alumnus of Arkansas Tech University where he earned a BA in 1979.
