Rep. Steve Womack, who has represented Arkansas’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2011, posted a series of messages this week on social media recognizing various groups and events, including National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, the anniversary of the U.S. Air Force, and a resolution honoring Charlie Kirk.
On September 17, Womack acknowledged truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. He wrote, “This week, during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we recognize the hardworking drivers who keep our goods moving and shelves stocked. We appreciate all the work you do.”
The following day, September 18, he marked the U.S. Air Force’s birthday with a congratulatory message: “Happy Birthday, @usairforce! Today, we celebrate 78 years of superb aerial service, courage, and innovation. Thank you to all of our nation’s airmen past, present, and future.”
On September 19, Womack shared his support for a resolution related to political violence and Charlie Kirk: “Today, I voted for a resolution that honors the legacy of Charlie Kirk and condemns all forms of political violence. His family continues to be in my prayers.”
Womack has served as congressman for Arkansas’s 3rd District since succeeding John Boozman in 2011. Born in Russellville in 1957 and currently residing in Rogers at age 66, Womack graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a BA in 1979.
