Rep. Steve Womack, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 3rd district since 2011, shared updates on local initiatives and recent legislative developments through a series of posts on February 9, 2026.

In one post, Womack expressed satisfaction with progress in Fort Smith: “I am very proud of what we have been able to accomplish in Fort Smith with this training mission and look forward to seeing its continued growth.” (February 9, 2026).

Addressing infrastructure improvements in the region, Womack noted: “ICYMI: You may start to notice more ‘Road Work Ahead’ signs popping up across Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. But that’s a good thing. I was proud to secure funding for multiple major transportation projects across the Third District—investments that will ensure our” (February 9, 2026).

Womack also highlighted recent congressional action commemorating the nation’s history: “Minting coins to commemorate our nation’s 250th birthday gives Americans a tangible reminder of our founding principles and values—capturing who we are, where we came from, and where we’re headed next. The House just passed legislation to do exactly that.” (February 9, 2026).

Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s 3rd District since succeeding John Boozman in Congress in 2011. Born in Russellville, Arkansas in 1957, Womack is currently a resident of Rogers and holds a BA from Arkansas Tech University.
