Rep. Bruce Westerman, who represents Arkansas’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted the region’s role in national defense and marked his birthday through a series of social media posts this week.
On November 18, 2025, Westerman’s team posted a message acknowledging his leadership: “Team Westerman Takeover: Happy birthday, Congressman Westerman! We are deeply grateful for your principled leadership and the profound integrity, dedication, and humility you consistently demonstrate through your service to the Fourth District of Arkansas. The following day, on November 19, 2025, Westerman emphasized the contributions of local workers to national security: “The hardworking men and women of the Fourth District are integral contributors to our national defense. I’m proud that East Camden continues to solidify the Natural State’s mark on defense manufacturing and our nation’s position as a global leader in aerospace and defense. https://t.co/NPuzJiRtzJ”.
Later that day, he continued to praise the district’s defense industry: “The Fourth District is home to some of our nation’s greatest munitions manufacturers, positioning Arkansas as one of our global leaders in aerospace and defense production. Bruce Westerman has served in Congress since 2015 after succeeding Tom Cotton. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Born in Hot Springs in 1967, Westerman continues to reside there today and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990.
