Notice of Storm Siren outage:

0Comments

Alma High School and the city of Dyer storm sirens are not working at this time. New sirens have been ordered for a few months but the supply chain issue has caused a delay. With the weekend weather approaching I ask that you stay alert and keep an eye on your favorite meteorologist. As a reminder the sirens are called outdoor warning sirens because their primary purpose is to alert people who are outside to severe weather, chemical, or other emergencies. While you may be able to hear the siren inside your house, this is not the primary function of the outdoor warning siren.

Thank you Chuck Dale for going out with me to do some clearing around sirens today!
