Mountainburg issued the following announcement on Feb. 2.
Our City Council meetings are on the second Monday night of the month at 7:00pm. This being an election year, we are asking the people that are running for office that the citizens of Mountainburg will be voting on either in May or November to come at 6:00 pm so that we can meet them and ask questions. I have set the schedule as follows.
March 14th Sherriff’s candidates
April 11th US Senate and Representative & State Senate Representative
May 9th County Judge and Quorum Court. County Positions
After primaries we may have more meeting, to be determined later.
June 13th
July 11th
August 8th
September 12th
October 10th Mayor and City Council
Election Day November
