City of Van Buren issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.

Due to inclement weather, the City of Van Buren Municipal Utilities will be closed Friday, February 25. Payments due Wednesday, February 23 through Friday, February 25 will not be charged a late fee. For emergencies please call: 479-474-5067 and leave a message, and then a VBMU Team member will respond.

Residential Sanitation & Recycling Collection services provided by Waste Management of Arkansas have been canceled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Household garbage and recycling will be collected during next week’s regular collection schedule.
