Rep. Bruce Westerman, who represents Arkansas’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on September 15, 2025, highlighting community achievements and national observances within his district.
In a message celebrating local engagement at county fairs, Westerman wrote: “Proud of the hard-working students, families, and volunteers across the Fourth District who have dedicated countless hours to making this past week’s county fairs such a success! Each livestock show, art competition, and exhibit highlights and celebrates how deeply agriculture is” (September 15, 2025).
Later that day, he recognized truck drivers for their role in supporting the economy: “Our truck drivers keep our supply chain rolling. This week, we honor the men and women who travel countless miles to deliver the goods that drive our nation’s economy!” (September 15, 2025).
Westerman also congratulated a fellow Arkansan on new legislation aimed at improving rural health care access for veterans: “Proud to congratulate my friend and fellow Arkansan on the passage of his bill that creates greater access to health care for our veterans in rural areas by authorizing qualified VA health care professionals to prescribe, deliver, distribute, or dispense controlled substances via” (September 15, 2025).
Bruce Westerman has served as Arkansas’s representative in Congress since 2015 after succeeding Tom Cotton. He previously held office in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Born in Hot Springs in 1967 and currently residing there at age 55, Westerman graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990.
