Rep. Bruce Westerman, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 4th district since 2015, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting his activities and perspectives on American energy and local businesses.

On August 27, 2025, Westerman posted about the House Natural Resources Committee’s visit to Alaska: “As the @NatResources Committee visits Alaska to see firsthand the opportunities to strengthen American energy dominance, it was fun to have a bit of Arkansas on the Kenai River! Great to see a SeaArk boat from Monticello all the way in Alaska!”

Later that day, he marked National Petroleum Day with another post emphasizing domestic energy production: “On National Petroleum Day, we celebrate American energy independence. Let’s unlock American energy dominance and power our nation and our allies with American energy!”

On August 28, 2025, Westerman highlighted the importance of family-owned businesses in Arkansas: “Family-owned businesses, like the White Valley Lumber Mill, are the backbone of Arkansas. Driving job opportunities, economic growth, and opportunity for future generations. As the largest full service Aromatic Eastern Red Cedar lumber mill in the Mulberry area of Northwest”

Westerman has represented Arkansas’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Tom Cotton in 2015. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1967, Westerman is an alumnus of the University of Arkansas and continues to reside in Hot Springs.
