Rep. Bruce Westerman, who represents Arkansas’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on local education funding and legislative concerns in a series of social media posts made between November 14 and November 17, 2025.
On November 14, Westerman posted about his weekly column, stating: “Read this week’s Weekly Column, The Price of Freedom, here: https://t.co/XNENfMKZVy https://t.co/mvj0Bl7Ufd”. Later that day, he congratulated Dierks High School for receiving a major award to improve its athletic facilities. In his post from November 14 at 21:05 UTC, he wrote: “The Friday night lights at Dierks High School are getting an upgrade!! Congratulations to @dierksoutlaws1 on receiving the Friday Night 5G Lights Competition for a $1 million grand prize that will go toward upgrading their football stadium. It was great joining the school this https://t.co/25ozJ2YdQp”.
Addressing federal legislation on November 17, Westerman commented on recent developments regarding privacy and government oversight: “The provision the Senate placed in last week’s funding bill which allows Senators to sue the federal government over phone records was disappointing to learn about and presents multiple issues that I cannot support. I plan to vote to repeal it.”
Bruce Westerman has represented Arkansas’s 4th District since replacing Tom Cotton in Congress in 2015. Before his congressional service, he was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Born in Hot Springs in 1967, Westerman continues to reside there and is an alumnus of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1990.
