Rep. Bruce Westerman, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 4th district since 2015, posted a series of messages on his social media accounts between January 19 and January 21, 2026, addressing topics ranging from the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., to pro-life advocacy, and condolences for a colleague’s loss.
On January 19, Westerman marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a tribute to the civil rights leader: “Today we reflect on the incredible legacy of Dr. Martin Luther king Jr. His leadership in the fight for justice and equality along with his message of unity and peace are inspiring to us, even today. May we continue to honor his legacy and always strive for a better tomorrow.”
The following day, he highlighted his stance on abortion policy by sharing news about his rating from a national anti-abortion group: “The right to life is the foundation upon which all other rights are built. I’m proud to have earned an A+ rating on @sbaprolife’s pro-life scorecard for delivering real victories to protect the unborn and stop taxpayer-funded abortion.”
On January 21, Westerman expressed sympathy over the passing of Terri Womack, wife of fellow Arkansas Congressman Steve Womack: “We are saddened by the loss of Terri Womack. Our prayers are with Steve as he mourns the loss and celebrates the life and love and support from his beloved wife of 41 years. We are praying for overwhelming peace and comfort for the entire Womack family during this most difficult”.
Bruce Westerman has served in Congress since replacing Tom Cotton in 2015 after previously serving in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Born in Hot Springs in 1967, Westerman continues to reside there today. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas (1990).
